Tournament Overview
Join top anglers from around the world in the ultimate test of skill—landing a 1,000+ lb Pacific Blue Marlin on 30 lb or 50 lb test line, while following IGFA rules. Kona's waters offer a rare opportunity to challenge records and participate in vital marlin research in conjunction with IGFA's Great Marlin Race (IGMR).
Event Details
- Location: Kona, Hawaii
- Eligibility: Invitation-only for IGFA members
- Base Team Entry Fee: $2,000 per team (1 or 2 anglers)
- Team: Includes 1 or 2 anglers. Additional anglers can be added—see the registration form. Boat captains and crew are included for social events.
Key Dates
- June 23, 2025: Opening Night (6:00 PM, HBGFC Clubhouse)
- June 24-26, 2025: Fishing Days (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- June 26, 2025: Awards Night (7:00 PM, HBGFC Clubhouse)
All profits in excess of operational needs will be donated to the IGFA Foundation's Billfish Endowment.
